Pioneering efforts of the UAE in support of human rights
Pioneering Emirati efforts to promote human rights, crossing countries and continents to perform their humanitarian role, without restriction or condition.
These efforts come within the strategy of human fraternity pursued by the UAE, which places “people first” in its priorities, without discrimination based on geography, race or religion.
Significant achievements in the field of promoting and protecting human rights for a country that has succeeded in being a land of coexistence and tolerance, and a point at which the sides of a difficult approach intersect, based on respect for the other and accepting his differences.
The ninth principle of the 50th document of the UAE states that "the UAE's external humanitarian aid is an integral part of its path and its moral obligations towards the less fortunate peoples. Our external humanitarian aid is not linked to religion, race, color or culture."
Also, "political disagreement with any country does not justify its failure to provide relief in disasters, emergencies and crises."
The establishment of this important mechanism by the UAE comes within the framework of its keenness to strengthen and develop its institutional structure concerned with human rights in a way that contributes to strengthening the position of the UAE and highlighting its roles in the field of human rights at the international level. Around the world, as it appeared in the UAE's humanitarian positions during the current Afghan crisis, and before that in relief of victims of natural disasters that occurred in many countries and regions around the world.
It also appeared - and still is - during the Corona pandemic in the UAE’s pioneering initiatives in support of the human right without discrimination to obtaining a vaccine, in addition to helping the countries of the world to overcome the health conditions left by the pandemic, stand by them and enhance their health capabilities, as it sent about 2,250 tons of Medical aid to 136 countries.
It also appeared in the UAE's pioneering efforts to combat human trafficking at the local and international levels, at the various awareness, security, human rights, and legislative levels.
These humanitarian efforts clearly reflect the values and firm approach of the UAE in protecting human rights at the international level.
